Helping You Get Healthy
Heel Pain Diagnosis and Treatment
Heel pain is one of the more common and painful foot conditions we treat at Palm City Podiatry.
The tricky thing about heel pain is that many of the causes of pain in your heel mimic each other. If your podiatrist does not identify the correct problem, they could be wasting your time and your money; worst of all, they could be doing more harm than good.
Taking Care of Your
You notice that your big toe is a little sore and red around one side of the nail, but you brush it off. Maybe it’s just an injury. It doesn’t hurt much, so it should be fine. Perhaps you type your symptoms into Dr. Google and decide that you have an ingrown toenail. No big deal, right?
The Care You Deserve to Rid You of
Are you noticing discoloration of thickness in your toenails? You may have toenail fungus. Don't worry, it's not contagious or fatal, so if you don't mind looking at it, then no treatment is needed.
If you're like many you may want your fungal toenails to return to their original color.
Taking Care of Your
Bunions & Hammertoes
Bunions and Hammertoes are genetic but certain activity or shoes can cause them to become worse. Whether you have a small deformity that you want to prevent from getting worse or you have a large painful deformity that may need surgery, we can help you. With digital x-ray in the office and a full range of treatment options including orthotics, injections, or surgery (minimally invasive or traditional), we will help tailor a treatment plan specifically for you.
Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery
Most traditional foot and ankle surgical procedures require large incisions, extensive dissection, and screws or pins to correct foot and ankle pathology. A major factor in the recovery time and amount of pain is the amount of soft tissue that is disrupted during traditional surgery. MIS surgery utilizes a small tiny incision with specially designed instruments that allow for less soft tissue disruption which may lead to less pain and less time off of your feet. Best of all many procedures can be done in the office under local anesthesia.
Warts are caused by a virus and traditionally have been treated with acids or blistering agents that can be painful. We are now offering a newer microwave treatment that attacks the virus that causes the warts. This procedure is done in the office and is quick, causes little pain, and there is no aftercare required.
